About The Bridge to Ireland Pilgrimages and Tours

As we are all aware, there are many pilgrimages and tours to Ireland. I want to explain what sets my tours apart from so many other fine tours.

Because of my experience of traveling to Ireland and working with artists, authors, composers, and musicians, I offer a unique opportunity to settle in and get to know people. I want to introduce you to my friends, and they want to meet you because you come with me. They want to tell you their story and show you their country. And this is the experience I want you to have.

If you want to cover the whole country in ten days and drive by all the major tourist sites, I would encourage you to choose a different tour. If you want to absorb the culture, make new friends, and get in touch with your personal story and journey, read on.

On The Bridge to Ireland I take you to three or four distinctively different locations. I connect with people whom I know in the area and draw them into our experience. You will hear the story straight from the locals. How authentic can it get?

Finally, we will gather once a day to reflect on our experience and share our thoughts in song and story, poetry and prayer. You will be encouraged to respond creatively to your experience. Your voice is very important on this journey whether it is heard or seen, written or shaped with clay. The Divine is up to something in you. Let it find expression here in sacred Ireland.

irelandGenerally, I gather a group of four to eight people. Sometimes participants know others in the group; sometimes they do not. It doesn’t matter. I deliberately keep the group small and personal. We are able to travel together in one vehicle (provided you don’t pack as though you are never returning home!) and we have a bit of flexibility along the way.

If you have questions, please feel free to email or phone me. There are times when I am not readily available on the phone as I travel often, however, I respond to email as soon as I am able even when I am abroad.

Finally, I am available to accompany individuals and smaller groups on personalized trips both in Ireland and elsewhere. I travel to England, Scotland, France and Spain as well. These trips are suitable for those who like to travel but may welcome some assistance, or for those who have certain places in mind and want to design their own journey. These trips work well for those who would not want to travel alone, but do not want to ride on a bus with fifty people. Occasionally a senior, for example, wants to travel but has no one to go along with them. So, keep this in mind. Perhaps your parent or a neighbor has been itching to get away.
